J. Wukotich The attention to detail in the production makes a huge impact on these songs, which are all quite good. The riffs are killer from the jump. "Involuntary Emasculation," "The Transformation," and "In Pursuit of..." are particularly effective in the guitar department. The whole album rides a line between progressive/tech and old school DM. As ferocious as Cannibal Corpse and as melodic as Psycroptic. Excellent record. Favorite track: The Psychology.

j-kep Way more beneath the surface in this one than the cover art would lead you to expect. This thing is remarkably varied and technically impressive across the board. Love it! Favorite track: The Psychology.

dim lights sound of pain pierces my ear as I am being dragged into their world thoroughly beaten from head to toe I see the maniac looking from above sullen face contorted into a sickening smile patients lying on the bed bruised bleeding in chains looks like I will be the next subject to face a fate worse than death surgical tools lying here and there dripping blood of the previous victim thrown on the operating table with my penis taped against the abdomen. the surgeon makes an incision in the midpoint of the scrotum cuts deep through the underlying tissue blood floods the table pathetic misfortune i make a move the pain hits me like a whip I scream, I shout I cry for forgiveness I see no contrition on the face of the inflictor The surgeon removes the testicles and parts of the spermatic cord and then I am dumped into the corner agonizing, bruised, bleeding out of the pain forcefully inflicted master of this domain, the maniac from above, smiles with deceit numbing brutality, edging insanity, upon the victims worthless of this treat

Malnourished, no food consumption since forever I am starving Rib cage and bones all perceptible the body yearns for nourishment I exclaim for help, the guards come near my cell pull me out, they drag me through the rough course to the prison sewage dumping site I see the sewer floating, greywater, blackwater With ferocity, they grab my skull and drown me into the lake chunks of sewage I see Chocked, incapable of breathing, the sewer blocks my throat. The drain that dumps sewage into the lake, now forces its way into me. Trapped gases, urine and excrement end up in my belly. Esophagus burns, the throat and stomach burns. My cry for help goes on, as I am dragged into my cell

Old Man: "It takes one to be pushed to their absolute extremities completely unleashed. We never expected this would happen, but...but what became of him was more than transgressional, it was transcendental evil in its purest." New prisoner: "but why me? what have I done to this lunatic? I only suffer, with every moment only getting worse. Why did I deserve this?" Old Man: "Don't be emotional about your pain. You're not but a mere pissant unaware of the divinity of his force - as good as crossfire. We all put the Jailor through hell and more - what you see in him now is humanity at it's most primal and animalistic form, and it is a rare sight. Savor it, while you last, for it won't st..." New prisoner: "Enough of you shit, old man!" "how the fuck are you still alive?" Old Man: "Alive? 'alive' means I have something to live for...the day we rebelled against the Jailor, and committed the atrocities against him and his loved ones, we gave away our meaning for existence. I just happen to acknowledge it...he sees it in my eyes...in how I stand...in how I cower before his magnificent vehemence... As for everyone else, his domain is only a torturous black hole, that will consume without mercy"

Suffering satisfies my inner self Misery infliction, my way of exaltation It’s the sweet taste of flesh, which I hunt for Slowly looking out for innocent beings I inflict the horror of killing upon them And make them psychologically unstable Their existence is obsolete Their life has no meaning for me. Everyone must face the torture Which myself and my daughter were forced into it Slowly slide a kalis into the eyes of the inmates Into the pupil Deep into the tissues and cells I turn them half blind See the world through one eye Feel the pain as it conquers you The very same thing which I was made to feel Consequences changed me Consequences forced me Then it was all, taken from me, die, feel the pain I slide into your eyes, my kalis I slide into your eyes, you bleed
6.
Pitched into the dilapidated chamber Lodging people, forging mental instability. They killed my daughter in front of me The horror seen by the eyes that begged for mercy. Another mind drenched in insanity Locked in the same barbaric sin cage breathing the air contaminated with the stench of this putrid meat. Trembling in fear, afraid of the forthcoming Had death been the ultimatum, it would have dealt us with Forsaken to rot.no food to eat. Only water satisfying the thirsty. With each passing day, the mind loses its might deprived of nutrition, it places butchery in sight nothing inside was consumable, except the other one drowning in grief I attack with vengeance upon the weak and timid Resistance offered but swiftly overpowered. I thrust my nails into the neck and pull out the blood vessels As the fountain of blood gushes out of the neck I feed upon the timid’s flesh. Delightful, both my mind and body Feeding onto something after such an eon Carefully chipping out each part of the neck I try to detach the neck from the body Holding the entire face in front of mine, while I chew his flesh I realize that I am now one of them Slowly drowning into this transcending agony
7.
All the worldly happiness will now be mine, No sign of remorse will one find. Escaped from this void and darkness Tonight, I am set free and earned my life Lashes and sharp knifes Felt my skin every time In parts where no one slides them inside Constant fear is what captivates my mind Deep down inside the fact is known to me That the inhuman will find me And they will not leave me untouched I must convey a message About this hell on earth So that others could be rescued And this insanity is brought to the ground Someone knocks the door, I know its them, My fear proliferates My death is right in front of me Brocken door, Thrusting themselves inside They walk towards me with long sharp knives A smirk on their face, just like their master Face that resembles a hungry hound They run towards me and smashed my face into the wall forced themselves into me and squeeze my testicles One of them pulls out a knife And cuts my stomach apart Pull out the intestines And starts eating them Endless agony, endless pain This pain will end with death I hope the messaged is received As I take my last breath.
8.
scrutinizing the evidence left by the maniac I see traces of blood lying on the floor Conflicting questions arise in my mind Is it the blood of the victim or the merciless destroyer of souls? I see human flesh a sight of gore As I walk more I shiver impatiently Petrifying was the view The body was lying Mutilated and ripped off Intestines were half eaten Mark of teeth was visible The skull was demolished, brain oozing out The body was half eaten, before he left out No eyes in the socket No limbs Days gone past, numerous murders encountered One day a tip came, and we ran to the site Dark underground cave, no source of light I see a dozen of eyes looking over us Slowly coming out of there hiding place It was a trap, we were caught in it No hope of escape I foresee
9.
Despondent 05:19
With ferocity in eyes and aggression within the nerves He screams with such power, I quiver with fear My vision is filled with one eyed people, bleeding behind bars Abundant pain and sorrow lie within the guiltless and miserable Circled by the clan of cannibals I see two of my men plan to break free Tracking down path to evade from this cruelty Relying on instincts, they ran towards the exit Pounding upon them like animals, the guards kill them instantly Thrusting their knifes, they tear apart the skin Devour the blood-soaked raw meat, my eyes see that sin The investigation falls into the place Every murder committed, every person kidnapped, The offenders are in front of my eyes From within the dark gloomy shades walks out a man with a sickening smile With psychotic traits he forces his kalis into our eyes, turning us half blind He chops off my partner penis and thrusts his knife into the cut Puts it deeper till the blood gushes out He pulls the knife up right up till his throat, splitting the frontal skin into two The blood and organs force themselves out like a moth from its cocoon As the blood floods the floor, he leaves the dead to rot Us half dead are forced behind bars and the insanity repeats

about

DESPONDENT is the debut album by Indian tech/prog death metal trio Dead Exaltation. They began in 2015, drawing inspiration from a variety of bands including Cryptopsy, Cattle Decapitation, Gorod, Spawn of Possession, and Cynic. Throughout their existence, the band has focused on creating thought-provoking, concept-based lyrics and song structures adorned with complex rhythms and melodies, as well as an old school sensibility.

Musically it centers around the engaging guitar-work that blends in elements from classic death metal as well as progressive metal, searing through chaotic sections with a melodic sensibility. The vocals and percussion make sure never to let the extremity cease, supplementing the guitarwork with necessary brutality.

Lyrically the band creates a conceptual story that continues with every song. It revolves around a psycopath warden who runs a prison holding innocent people picked up from the streets. The guards of the prison are cannibal psychopaths who do not refrain themselves from torturing, killing and eating people. Like every good tale, this story is divided into three acts: the incidents, the psychology of the warden, and an investigation leading to a brutal and bloody end of the story.

With the release of their debut album, Despondent, on February 5, Dead Exaltation is all set to introduce the world to their sonic craft.
